NCCAP Certification as a
professional goal
Some of you reading this article may not be certified as an
activity professional with the National Certification Council
for Activity Professionals (NCCAP). The reasons may vary from
one individual to another, but typically the reasons given
include; because you didn't know you could be, didn't know you
were eligible, or thought you needed to wait until you had a
college degree etc. NCCAP certification does require Academic
Education, Experience, Continuing Education and the Modular
Education Course for Activity Professionals, (90 hour Basic
Education Course); however, NOT all the components are
required before you can become provisionally certified (ADPC);
or before you can apply at a different level. If becoming
certified is one of your professional goals, why not review
the
www.nccap.org website (Also check out the state
representative listing for the contact in your area), or
contact the, office for personal assistance, and join the
"ranks" of the other certified activity professionals in your
state! |
