Detailed information:
The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program is a rigorous three-level process that evaluates long term care organizations capabilities against nationally recognized standards for excellence, making it one of the most comprehensive and cost-effective performance assessments available to providers. Each progressive award levels— Bronze – Commitment to Quality, Silver – Achievement in Quality, and Gold – Excellence in Quality, requires a more detailed demonstration of superior performance. More information about the Award Program can be found here.
As noted above, there will be two separate tracks:
- Bronze: for facilities who are just starting their quality award journey – applying for the first level – Bronze-Commitment to Quality
- Silver: for facilities who have already earned their Bronze Award and want to apply for the next level – Silver-Achievement in Quality
Each track is a THREE part series:
- An Introductory Zoom session that introduces the Appropriate Level and lays out how to prepare for the In-Person Training
- An In-Person Training, preferably 2-3 individuals from each participating facility, that will delve into the award and allow you to start developing your application
- A Concluding Zoom call to discuss progress and finishing touches.
- There may be opportunities for individual consultation during this process.
Our trainer will be Lynn Carpenter, Ph.D., NHA – Navlynn Resources
A Senior Examiner with the AHCA/NCAL Quality Award Program (Reviewer of Silver-Level Applications)
Former Nursing Home Administrator who has lead a facility along the Quality Award Journey, earning the Silver Award during her tenure
