The NHHCA has numerous long-standing and ad-hoc committees that assist the NHHCA in supporting members and fulfilling our mission and vision.
Some long-standing committees include:
Chairs: Rosemary Simino (Goldenview Healthcare) & Darlene Underhill (NH Catholic Charities)
Formerly known as the “Survey Committee”, this committee has expanded upon it’s original purpose, which was collecting information on recent survey activity, meeting with key members of the surveyor teams, and disseminating information to the public. While the committee still conducts these activities, we have expanded to include other areas of regulatory control, such as the Office of Professional Licensure & Certification, Office of the Long Term Care Ombudsman, and other appropriate agencies – as needed based on feedback from members. The group also seeks to champion continuous quality improvement in facilities through grants and use of tools available from the American Health Care Association.
Chair: Brenda Demirjian, Geriatric Medical
The Development committee designs and directs events that allow suppliers of goods and services for long-term care to network with current and potential customers, facility based leaders and staff. The committee fundraises to support the efforts of the NHHCA, seeking sponsorships for the association and the events they host. The Development Committee are key partners in planning and pulling off the Annual Trade Show.
Chair: Open
The Education Committee guides the NHHCA in developing educational opportunities, both virtually and in-person, to assure that New Hampshire caregivers have the most up-to-date tools in their toolbox and the instructions to use them effectively.
